Free Event: Mental Health for Our Youth - FREE Workshop for African American Caregivers

  • Virtual Online United States (map)

If a member of your family is struggling with mental illness or substance abuse, the African American Family Outreach Project wants you to know You Are Not Alone! Our FREE online workshop features two amazing keynote speakers, Dr. Karriem L. Salaam and Dr. Jaseon Outlaw who have joined us to discuss mental health tools and resources for families caring for the youth.

With help from Alameda County, the African American Family Outreach Project (or AAFOP) was created with the goal of addressing mental health and helping caregivers identify resources available to them through the county. We support African American families who are caring for Loved Ones living with serious mental illness and/or substance abuse. This holiday season workshop is particularly important for African American caregivers, youth advocates, and counselors who care for children and young adults struggling with mental illness and/or substance abuse. As always, our workshops involve a loving environment for caregivers, free raffles, and a Q&A for both keynote speakers!

We welcome you to our FREE online workshop and we want you to tell other African American caregivers and families about this project!
